95 Broad Street Charleston SC--Luxury Simplified Office

While many people are familiar with the striking orange building on Broad Street, home to real estate power house Luxury Simplified, few know its whole story.  Built in 1770, it was most notably home to the historic figure Major Peter Bocquet. The home has had many incarnations but has remained a mixed-use space throughout it’s life. The real estate brand, brain child of welsh born Chris Leigh-Jones and his Texan wife Sebrina, is personified in its office’s unique color and historic charm. The couple purchased the home in 2012, with the intention to renovate it for their company’s offices. Experts in the art of historic renovation, they were careful to retain the home’s historic features.

When you step inside 95 Broad you’ll immediately notice more than just the refreshing air conditioning, there’s an art to the space that beckons to be noticed. From the carefully crafted crown moldings and exquisite mantles, to the paneled walls, and original hardwood floors, there’s an air of old world elegance which is palpable.

With a nod to the past, yet very much current, the furnishings and decor give a feeling of restrained luxury. Beyond the physical and architectural details, small historical treasures exhumed from various construction sites are on display throughout the home. By combining the old with the new the decor honors the building’s history while feeling fresh and functional.

There’s an art to making quality in dollars seem as though it’s just effortlessly meant to be that way. That is the hallmark of style, the product of a visionary. To be a visionary, you must possess the uncanny ability to see what isn’t there and dream the “what ifs.” When you step inside the unassuming door at 95 Broad Street there is an unmistakable feeling that compels us to take notice. To be within the walls of Luxury Simplified and the stately manor house, is to experience both the visionaries of its past and the stewards of its future, neither of which could mean anything without the other.

Note: While we owe much of 95 Broad’s beauty and aesthetic to building its self and the talent of those who came before us, we put a lot of care into the renovation of this historic gem, as we do all of our projects.
